Under modeveckan i Stockholm lanserade Lara Bohinc sin fina kollektion "The London Collection" tillsammans med Skultuna. Lara är en otroligt begåvad och färgstark smyckes- och accessoardesigner baserad i London. Hennes unika smycken med sin välkända design har rönt stor framgång både internationellt och i Sverige. Senast såg jag att ELLEs eleganta (och helt underbara) chefredaktör Hermine Coyet-Ohlén bära hennes halsband Lunar Eclipse Necklace på Childhood World Foundation galan i måndags. I samband med lanseringen tillsammans med Skultuna, ordnade Spoil Concept en supertrevlig lunch på Grand Hôtel vilket var det perfekt avbrottet från det stressade visningsschemat. Jag passade på att ställa ett par snabba frågor till Lara om kollektionen. Emilia: Your collaboration ”The London Collection” with Skultuna will hit the stores in October, how did this collaboration see the light of the day? Lara: It was initiated by Maria Millqvist Englundh (founder of Spoil Concept). It seemed like such a natural collaboration since we both work in brass and we both do accessories, both for the home and for the body Emilia: How would you describe the collection? What was your inspiration? Lara: It is a collection of four candleholders and one bookend which are precision photo-etched from brass. The patterns are inspired by travels and pathways, therefore there are lots of lines which form delicate patterns when lit up. I would describe the pieces as jewellery for the home. Emilia: How were you able to mix the Lara Bohinc design philosophy with the heritage of Skultuna? Lara: Lara Bohinc is all about being modern yet timeless and that is what Skultuna is about too. Skultuna is a four hundred years old company and yet they are looking into the future with collaborations with contemporary designers. Emilia: For all us Lara Bohinc addicts, what are you currently working on? Lara: At the moment I am working on a new silver jewellery collection which will be launched in January 2015 and hit the stores in April 2015.
